Wickes Everest Challenge

From 8-24 September a team of 20 Wickes colleagues and suppliers, along with ex-England footballer Geoff Thomas, will cycle from Shigatse to Everest Base Camp as part of this epic adventure in the Himalayas.

The team are hoping to raise over £50k for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

The altitude and terrain make this an extremely tough challenge as the team endures extreme temperatures when crossing some of the highest mountain passes in the world.

Travelling an average distance of 45 miles per day the team will experience a maximum altitude of 5,210 meters as they cycle over the backbone of the Himalayas.

At the end of the trip their hard work will be rewarded with the world's longest downhill ride.
