One Day Ahead charity cycle challenge

One Day Ahead charity cycle challenge

Staying ‘One Day Ahead’ of the peloton for the entire 2012 Tour de France in support of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

This July, seven intrepid amateur cyclists will draw on all their reserves as they attempt to cycle the entire route of the Tour de France One Day Ahead of the professional peloton in order to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

With 3,479 gruelling kilometres in the saddle  to confront  we are under no illusions that it will be an easy challenge:

Founder and rider Jamie Anderson says “We are all excited to complete the most grueling cycling event in the world and the One Day Ahead project will balance extreme physical endurance with a constant logistical battle, trying to keep our noses ahead of the professionals ”

However, having each covered 5000 training miles by the time we reach the start line and constantly motivated by the truly life saving work conducted at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research we are confident in our ability to realise this dream and contribute towards beating blood cancer.

We are very fortunate to be supported by friends, family, the cycling community and have been sponsored by several superb companies who support our vision, including: our lead sponsor Chain Reaction Cycles, Physioworld, Muc Off and High5 nutrition. With their help and support we are better equipped, stronger, cleaner and much better fed!
