London Bikeathon - Sunday 16 September 2012

Whether you usually ride for fun or to push yourself to the limits, join our Unstoppable team of over 5,000 cyclists in a much bigger challenge – to beat blood cancer. Cycle 13, 26, or 52 miles around London, or for a more extreme ride follow in the path of the 2012 Olympians and take on both Box Hill and Leith Hill in our new 75+ mile route around Surrey.

Registration is open until 31 August and costs £24 for individuals and £12 for team members (10+). The children’s ride costs £5.

The Box Hill Endurance Ride is now full, thanks to everyone who has entered. The 52 mile routes from The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Ham House and Thames Barrier Park are open and still a challenge!

London Bikeathon 2011 saw over 5,000 dedicated fundraisers take to the streets of the capital and cycle to beat blood cancer. An incredible £640,000 was raised for our vital life-saving research. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved –  join us for London Bikeathon 2012.

 

Fundraising tips

Quick tips on how to boost your fundraising

  • Set up your own online fundraising page with JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving. It’s quick and easy to do, then simply send your link to all your contacts!
  • Tell everyone you’re cycling to beat blood cancer. Share your fundraising story via facebook and twitter, and pin your fundraising photos on pinterest.
  • Bake to beat blood cancer – encourage your friends, family and colleagues to hold a cake sale. It’s a fun and tasty way to raise more sponsorship money.
  • Organise a fun social event with friends and family. Why not hold a karaoke quiz night, or dinner party at your house, local pub or village hall?
  • Have a big spring clean and sell unwanted clothes and household items at a car boot sale, or perhaps on eBay. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure...
  • Matched giving is a simple way of boosting your overall fundraising total. Your workplace may match the amount you fundraise – it’s worth asking!
