Fundraising at School & University

Here are some ideas to help you get students and teachers involved in fundraising at school or university:

Fundraising at School

Non-uniform Day

Probably one of the most popular events you could hold and the easiest to organise is a non-uniform day.  Why not go one step further and hold a fancy-dress non-uniform day, and introduce fines for people who don’t dress-up along with a prize for the best dressed?

Battle of the Bands

There are lots of new bands around. Persuade everyone who thinks they’ve got talent at your school to take part in a ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition. You could charge people for entry and really make it an event that brings the entire school together.

Fundraising at University

If you’d like to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and you’re at university, why not rope in your fellow students to help. Did you know blood cancers are the biggest cancer killer for 15–24 year olds, so potentially there’ll be many students at your university who have been touched by these diseases.

Slave auction

An ideal prize for the lazy student!

Why not organise either a departmental or halls of residence slave auction. If you convince a few people to be auctioned as slaves this can be a massive fundraising event. It will also give you a chance to laugh at some of your friends having to do ridiculous things all in the name of charity!

Pub Quiz

Everyone loves proving just how clever they are, so why not test their claims by holding a pub quiz? Despite the name this doesn’t need to be in a pub, and the prizes for the winners really don’t need to be that big - there’s no greater prize than the satisfaction of beating your mates.

RAG Raids

If you fancy getting your RAG involved to do a RAG raid, get in touch. We can secure collection permits all over the country on your behalf.

Nominate us for a Donation

Lots of universities are happy to donate funds to a charity close to the hearts of their students. Why not apply to your charity committee/RAG and ask them to donate to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
