British Gas Business, Oxford

British Gas Business Oxford, chose Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research as their Charity of the Year in 2010, raising almost £10,000 to help beat blood cancers.
The partnership kicked off in January, with staff selling homemade cakes for 50p a slice and organising a 50p coin trail in reception to mark Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research’s 50th anniversary in 2010.
Keen to raise money to support our groundbreaking research, the employees at BGB Oxford also took on a 10K walk in April and a Dragon Boat Race in May.
Explaining the branch’s enthusiasm for the partnership, Gillian Richardson, Admin Team Leader and Charity Committee Organiser at British Gas Business, said: "We were delighted to support Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and contribute to funding vital research which will benefit patients in Oxford and across the UK."
